Manager – Category Management

About the role

The Manager – Category Management will design and execute category strategies that drive growth for utility‑related brands. Working closely with Sales, Marketing and suppliers, you will lead product assortment optimization, new product onboarding and supplier relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Design strategic programs to position brands within the portfolio and increase market penetration in the utilities sector.
• Manage manufacturer relationships, including pricing, rebates, marketing funds, payment terms, training and certifications.
• Serve as the liaison between sales teams and manufacturers to align growth priorities.
• Own profitability and organic/inorganic growth of assigned product lines.
• Maintain commercial intelligence tools such as price lists, forecasts and customer tier databases.
• Define and monitor inventory levels for launches, projects and growth plans.
• Provide field technical support, validate solutions at sites, projects and substations.
• Identify and onboard new manufacturers and suppliers through special pricing programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years in sales, marketing or product management within the electrical distribution market.
• Proven experience in the electric power sector, especially utilities, transmission and distribution.
• 2+ years of people management or product category management experience.
• Strong analytical, financial and cross‑functional influencing skills.
