About the role
The Maitre D will be the face of the restaurant, welcoming guests and ensuring a seamless dining experience. This position combines guest interaction, coordination with the service team, and adherence to the brand’s hospitality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, make eye contact, and use guests’ names whenever possible.
- Assist guests to their seats, manage reservations, and maintain the reservation book.
- Communicate guest needs to the kitchen and management, and relay guest feedback.
- Execute opening, closing, and side‑work duties, including checking cleanliness of dining areas and service stations.
- Handle VIP guests, recognize industry reviewers, and run VIP chits to appropriate staff.
- Answer phone calls, manage reservation counts, and coordinate transfer tickets between bar and dining room.
- Support team members with a sense of urgency, ensuring consistent service flow.
Required profile

- Attention to detail and ability to follow service guidelines and manuals.
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage menu items.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and guest‑service procedures.
- Ability to use position numbers and follow standard operating procedures.
