Maitre D – Guest Services Lead

About the role

The Maitre D will be the face of the restaurant, welcoming guests and ensuring a seamless dining experience. This position combines guest interaction, coordination with the service team, and adherence to the brand’s hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, make eye contact, and use guests’ names whenever possible.
• Assist guests to their seats, manage reservations, and maintain the reservation book.
• Communicate guest needs to the kitchen and management, and relay guest feedback.
• Execute opening, closing, and side‑work duties, including checking cleanliness of dining areas and service stations.
• Handle VIP guests, recognize industry reviewers, and run VIP chits to appropriate staff.
• Answer phone calls, manage reservation counts, and coordinate transfer tickets between bar and dining room.
• Support team members with a sense of urgency, ensuring consistent service flow.
