Maintenance Technician – The Crown of Queen City

About the role

The Crown of Queen City property in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the building, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, track usage, return unused items, and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Available to work Monday‑Friday with a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks and operate tools safely.
• Commitment to follow established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
