Maintenance Technician – The Bower

About the role

The Maintenance Technician for The Bower will ensure that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance and functionality. This hands‑on role supports resident satisfaction and prepares vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing them in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose building defects and perform repairs according to established policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Experience with the make‑ready process for vacant residential units.
• Strong inventory‑tracking skills and ability to coordinate supplies and vendor services.
• Attention to detail in documentation and completion of paperwork.
• Willingness to maintain grounds, perform pressure‑washing, cleaning and painting tasks.
• Commitment to cost‑saving practices and proper tool usage.
• Compliance with safety and risk‑management procedures.
