Maintenance Technician – The Beverly at Shadow Lake

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas of The Beverly at Shadow Lake meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This hands‑on role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Experience performing technical and mechanical maintenance in a residential or commercial setting.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, safety procedures and code requirements.
• Physical capability to handle manual labor, lift equipment and work in various weather conditions.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.
