Maintenance Technician – Student Living Property

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Union on Knox student‑living community. You will ensure that apartments, common areas, and amenities are clean, safe, and fully functional for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative‑maintenance work orders.
• Perform the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Maintain grounds and shared spaces by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and occasional painting of curbs and signage.
• Document all work orders and paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.
• Participate in safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade certification is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical or building defects and perform repairs safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established policies and code requirements.
