Maintenance Technician – Sorella Property

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of the Sorella mid‑rise property in Charlotte meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This role supports both day‑to‑day operations and the lease‑up phase of the 335‑unit community.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑initiated work orders and preventative maintenance tasks, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to perform technical and mechanical work in a residential property environment.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality of repairs.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
• Capability to coordinate with vendors and manage inventory responsibly.
