Maintenance Technician - Solana at Duarte Station

About the role

A Maintenance Technician is needed at the Solana at Duarte Station property (292-unit lease-up) to perform technical and mechanical work that keeps the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas clean, safe and functional. The schedule is Thursday to Monday, 9am to 6pm, with weekend availability and on-call duty required.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing problems and repairing them according to policy, safety standards and code requirements.
• Run the make-ready process for vacant apartments: pre-move-out inspection, punch list, vendor and contractor scheduling, supplies and final inspection.
• Track inventory, return unused items and notify the maintenance supervisor of re-order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and on time.
• Help maintain grounds, common areas and amenities, such as trash removal, pressure washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost control by fixing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Attend safety meetings, complete OSHA and other safety training, and report accidents and incidents.
• Periodically check contractor and vendor work, and help with routine property inspections.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience; prior electrical experience and HVAC certification preferred.
• EPA Type I and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification (for certified service technicians).
• All certifications required by state and local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather, lift up to 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with help, and work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
