Maintenance Technician – Preserve at Westfields

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Preserve at Westfields community. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and maintain up‑to‑date paperwork.
• Assist with grounds upkeep, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform timely repairs.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and make‑ready procedures in residential settings.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking and basic procurement processes.
