Maintenance Technician – Mechanical & Electrical

About the role

Rain Carbon Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliable operation of plant equipment across its production facilities. The role involves hands‑on repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of mechanical and auxiliary systems in a safe, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily repair‑oriented tasks based on immediate needs and scheduled maintenance.
• Execute welding, burning, fabrication, and equipment improvements throughout the plant.
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks on all machinery and auxiliary equipment.
• Carry out mechanical and minor electrical repairs, as well as occasional carpentry work.
• Operate mobile equipment required for maintenance activities.
• Report safety concerns or equipment problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Lead maintenance projects or supervise contract work when required.

Required profile

• Two years of vocational training or related college education, or 1‑2 years of relevant experience (or an equivalent mix).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, mechanical blueprints, and procedural documents.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the capacity to work collaboratively with others.
• Basic mathematical competence for calculations involving measurements, rates, and geometry.
