Maintenance Technician - Maris

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Maintenance Technician to join Greystar’s Maris property in Annapolis, Maryland. The role ensures that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas are kept in excellent condition, meeting our standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks across the property to reduce equipment downtime.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors and contractors, and ensuring units are ready for new occupants.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used and time spent.
• Assist with routine inspections of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing and electrical to identify potential problems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in residential or commercial property maintenance.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and maintenance manuals.
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
