Maintenance Technician – Lease‑up (Ascend at Valverde)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the lease‑up phase at Ascend at Valverde. The role focuses on ensuring that apartments, common areas, and grounds meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety activities.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical or technical issues and perform repairs safely.
• Experience with make‑ready procedures for residential units.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Willingness to perform general grounds upkeep and cleaning tasks.
• Commitment to following safety protocols and company policies.
