Maintenance Technician - Kaulana Mahina

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Kaulana Mahina property in Wailuku. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep the building, grounds, amenities and common areas clean, safe and functional. The position works a Tuesday‑Saturday schedule with on‑call duties after training.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of related maintenance experience.
• Ability to work Tuesday‑Saturday schedule with on‑call duties after training.
• CPO (Certified Professional Operator) license is a plus.
• Strong attention to safety, policies and code compliance.
