Maintenance Technician

About the role

Under general supervision, you will diagnose, maintain, repair, and service a wide variety of fleet and specialized vehicles. The position involves performing preventative maintenance, ensuring a safe work environment, and complying with OSHA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engines and transmissions.
• Conduct welding, cutting, and minor body work.
• Utilize vehicle computer systems and diagnostic software to troubleshoot issues.
• Complete paperwork in fleet maintenance software, documenting parts usage and repair times.
• Respond to emergency breakdown service calls promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; 1‑2 years related experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to read safety rules, maintenance manuals, and write routine reports.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.

Required skills

• Tooling and mechanical inspection techniques.
• Welding and cutting proficiency.
• Use of diagnostic equipment and fleet maintenance software.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Forklift operation.
