Maintenance Technician for Town Center Community

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the Town Center at Lakeside Village meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This full‑time position works Monday‑Friday with a rotating on‑call schedule and may require occasional travel to other properties.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing them according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Compliance with Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, including participation in safety meetings and OSHA training.
• Ability to inspect contractor work for quality, scope, and specification adherence.
• Capability to conduct routine property inspections and communicate maintenance needs to management.

Required skills

• EPA Type I and II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart where applicable).
