Maintenance Technician for Massachusetts Court Apartments

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the Massachusetts Court Apartments—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and minimizing material waste.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), and work in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including on‑call evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart where applicable).

Required skills

• EPA Type I, Type II, or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
