Maintenance Technician for Active Adult Community

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Solana Lakewood active‑adult community. The role ensures the physical integrity, safety, and appearance of buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas, contributing to a vibrant resident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to maintain clear records.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and minimizing material waste.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in building maintenance preferred.
• Experience in residential or commercial property maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, maintenance manuals, and safety codes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in various weather conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
• Experience using inventory tracking systems.
