Maintenance Technician – Equipment & Facilities

About the role

Chart Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, including welding and fabrication machinery, as well as building and grounds at its New Iberia facility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment, welding tools, and fabrication machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of planned and completed service dates, materials used, and inspection documentation.
• Assist with electrical work in the shop and main building under the supervision of a licensed Maintenance Technician II.
• Perform work at elevated heights up to 75 feet and operate fall protection equipment.
• Handle hazardous materials in compliance with DOT HM‑126 regulations.

Required profile

• Ability to pass DOT HM‑126 hazardous material handling safety training.
• Ability to pass NFPA 70E fall protection equipment inspection training.
• Capability to work at heights up to 75 feet.
• Physical ability to stoop, kneel, stand, walk, drive, and lift up to 50 lb.
