Maintenance Technician – Chelsea Museum District

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of its Chelsea Museum District property meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. You will work directly with residents, vendors, and the maintenance team to keep the building and its amenities operating smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory by tracking usage of tools, supplies, and equipment, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and repair building defects across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience with make‑ready procedures and coordinating vendors.
• Strong attention to safety protocols and documentation standards.
• Capability to manage inventory and track supplies.
