Maintenance Technician – Canyon Country, CA

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a stabilized 205‑unit property in Canyon Country, CA. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a residential or commercial setting.
• Willingness to work on‑call schedule, typically 9 am‑6 pm, with flexibility based on business needs.
• Ability to follow established procedures, safety protocols and local code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete documentation accurately.
