Maintenance Technician – Aventon Property

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Aventon property in Annapolis. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, functionality, and appearance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory by tracking usage of tools, supplies, and equipment, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to read and follow work orders and standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and risk‑management policies.
• Capability to work independently and collaborate with vendors and team members.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, climbing, and operating cleaning equipment.
