Maintenance Technician – Avana Court

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the Avana Court property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and minimizing material waste.

Required profile

• Adherence to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, including participation in safety meetings and OSHA training.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Willingness to be on‑call during evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.

Required skills

• EPA Type I, Type II, or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart where applicable).
