Maintenance Technician – Ascent at Mallard Creek

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of Ascent at Mallard Creek – a stabilized garden‑stage community – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This onsite role involves performing technical and mechanical work across apartments, common areas, and grounds.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑initiated work orders and preventative‑maintenance tasks, diagnosing defects and repairing them in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and safety standards while performing repairs.
• Experience with make‑ready turnover processes and coordinating vendors.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and documentation.
• Willingness to perform general grounds upkeep and basic painting tasks.
• Commitment to cost‑effective maintenance practices.
