Maintenance Technician – Alexan Research Park

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of Alexan Research Park meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This onsite role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to perform technical and mechanical work in a residential property environment.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and code standards.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work orders, and follow documented procedures.
