Maintenance Technician - Airport

About the role

The Boise Airport is expanding and needs skilled technicians to keep its systems running smoothly. This position offers a clear career path from Technician to Senior Technician, then Maintenance Mechanic Senior, and ultimately Airport Maintenance Mechanic Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and operate fire detection and suppression systems, baggage handling systems, jet bridges, Siemens DDC control panels, and the domestic water system.
• Perform indoor and outdoor facility repairs and remodels, including patching, painting, door and ceiling work, and electrical maintenance.
• Troubleshoot meters, control circuits, security systems, gates, and a wide range of mechanical and electrical devices.
• Handle moderately complex issues and refer higher‑level problems as needed, working under direct supervision.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in industrial or commercial repairs/maintenance, or a journey‑level trade license.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license and ability to complete airport driver training.
• Successful completion of City of Boise background checks, TSA security clearance, and driving record review.
