Maintenance Technician - 1100 South

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will perform technical and mechanical work to ensure the property’s buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely.
• Assist with grounds and common area upkeep, including trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting.
• Support cost‑control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.

Required profile

• Ability to work on‑site in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including rotating on‑call evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart where applicable.

Required skills

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All certifications required by state and local jurisdictions for service technicians.
