Maintenance Tech II (Mid Level)

About the role

The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is seeking a Mid‑Level Maintenance Technician II to provide general services, repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance across its historic hotels, conference centers, and surrounding grounds.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on rooms, public spaces, offices, back‑of‑house areas, and outdoor facilities.
• Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pool, fountain, kitchen, and small equipment systems.
• Carry out carpentry, painting, and minor structural work as needed.
• Move furniture and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist fellow maintenance staff and participate in on‑the‑job training.
• Monitor systems for irregular operation and initiate corrective actions.
• Follow OSHA regulations, safety policies, and established work practices.

• Willingness to learn through on‑the‑job training with experienced staff.
• Ability to respond promptly to maintenance calls across diverse environments.
• Physical capability to handle equipment, furniture, and manual tasks.
