Maintenance Supervisor – Sterling Community

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that the interior and exterior of the community, including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This role combines hands‑on technical work with supervisory responsibilities to keep the property operating smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform routine upkeep, diagnosing defects and completing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Oversee the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance and cleanliness of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, breezeways, signage, leasing office, garbage areas, parking lots, and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, collaborating with the Community Manager to order items within budget.

Required profile

• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical or building systems.
• Ability to manage make‑ready turnover processes and coordinate with vendors.
• Strong organizational skills for developing standards and maintaining inventory.
• Experience inspecting work of staff and external service providers.
• Knowledge of safety and code compliance in a residential community setting.
