Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all building interiors, exteriors, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s high standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This position combines hands‑on technical work with oversight of make‑ready processes and vendor coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve resident service requests and routine maintenance issues in accordance with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Manage the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, supply procurement, and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance and upkeep of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas, and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, coordinating orders with the Community Manager while adhering to budget guidelines.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in the policy manual.
• Support the Community Manager in various operational and administrative tasks related to maintenance.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose the source of defects or problems and perform repairs following established policies and safety codes.
• Experience coordinating vendors, scheduling work, and managing inventory within budget constraints.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections and quality assurance of both internal staff and external service providers.
• Capability to develop and uphold cleanliness and appearance standards for residential communities.
