About the role
This position oversees and performs technical and mechanical work to ensure that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.
Key responsibilities
- Assist and complete work orders generated from resident requests, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
- Oversee the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, obtaining supplies, completing maintenance tasks and inspecting finished work.
- Develop and maintain standards for cleanliness and appearance of community grounds, amenities, building exteriors, unit interiors, breezeways, signage, leasing office, garbage areas and parking lots.
- Periodically inspect work performed by service team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards, scope and specifications, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, collaborating with the Community Manager to order supplies while staying within budget.
- Execute monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in the policy and procedure manual.
- Support the Community Manager with various maintenance‑related tasks as required.
