Maintenance Planner / Scheduler

About the role

IKO Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Maintenance Planner / Scheduler in Jacksonville. The role coordinates preventive, routine, repair and emergency maintenance across the plant using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) so that work is planned, scheduled and executed with minimal disruption to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare maintenance work orders for scheduled and emergency maintenance activities.
• Coordinate the resources needed for each job, including labor, tools and parts.
• Develop weekly and outage work scopes for hourly maintenance personnel.
• Maintain and build equipment records, bills of materials and asset data in the CMMS.
• Create, schedule and close out preventive maintenance (PM) tasks in the CMMS.
• Improve and adjust PM programs to maximize equipment uptime.
• Track and manage spare parts inventory and equipment documentation.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance planning/scheduling in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• At least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Mechanical design experience is a plus.
• Safety-sensitive position.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and planning abilities, able to manage multiple tasks.
