Maintenance Planner

About the role

The Maintenance Planner ensures the smooth flow of work and materials within the maintenance department, aligning work orders with the production schedule. This position supports the plant’s operational efficiency by coordinating maintenance activities, tracking progress, and reporting on key performance metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Examine documents, materials, and products to verify completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and material requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other personnel to assess progress, discuss changes, and revise schedules as needed.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve delays and complaints.
• Record maintenance data, including work orders, spare parts usage, and missed deadlines.
• Maintain inventories of materials and supplies required for maintenance tasks.
• Calculate labor, material, and cost figures using pricing schedules and computer tools.
• Distribute maintenance schedules and work orders to relevant departments.
• Compile reports on work order rates, progress, inventory levels, and other metrics.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a production or maintenance environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask, set priorities, and work under changing conditions.
