Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the performance and upkeep of large production machinery at Vibrant Ingredients. This role involves troubleshooting equipment, performing repairs, and ensuring machines operate efficiently within tight production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Visually inspect and test machinery to detect malfunctions.
• Clean machines and parts, removing and reinstalling components as needed.
• Oil and lubricate moving parts to ensure effective performance.
• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Order, install, and replace machine components.
• Identify causes of unexpected breakdowns and execute timely repairs.
• Prepare reports documenting maintenance work performed.
• Maintain organized shop areas, parts inventory, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance.
• Collaborate with production managers and plant engineers on new product introductions and required modifications.

Required profile

• Ability to work under time constraints and high‑stress situations while troubleshooting equipment.
• Follows general and detailed instructions for routine and new assignments.
• Willingness to collaborate with production managers and plant engineers.
