Machinist – 2nd & 3rd Shift (Buffalo, NY)

About the role

Moog offers machinists the chance to work on high‑precision components for advanced space and defense programs. The position is on the 2nd and 3rd shifts in Buffalo, NY, and includes a $3,500 sign‑on bonus for qualified applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Work under minimal supervision after training, assisting in work planning and problem solving within the cell.
• Perform machine setups of varying complexity using proven processes.
• Run machines and adjust tooling offsets to ensure parts meet quality specifications.
• Inspect all work, set up or adjust gaging equipment, detect unusual conditions, and recognize blueprint errors.
• Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow verbal, written, and computer instructions in English.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• At least one year of experience as a precision machinist with lathe, mill, grind, or EDM specialties.
