Machine Learning Engineer – Sensor Simulation

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to advance its sensor simulation platform. You will collaborate with research, rendering, and physics teams to integrate state-of-the-art ML techniques into production‑grade models of Lidar, Radar and Camera sensors.

Key responsibilities

• Drive research, development and deployment of generative and other ML methods within the sensor simulator.
• Partner with rendering and physics‑based modeling groups to create hybrid solutions that combine data‑driven and physics‑based approaches.
• Focus on projects that deliver clear production value and measurable impact for customers.
• Prototype, evaluate, and optimize large generative models for realistic world and sensor modeling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience building software components that solve real‑world machine‑learning problems.
• Strong passion for turning research into tooling that improves productivity of autonomous‑systems teams.
• Hands‑on experience with evaluation and optimization of large generative models and agentic system design.
