Lube & Tire Technician

About the role

CTI is seeking a Lube & Tire Technician to perform preventative maintenance and tire services on a growing fleet at the FMI Morenci in‑pit site. The role involves routine inspections, lubrication, filter changes, and minor mechanical repairs while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts and change oil, fuel, water, and air filters on equipment.
• Service tires including changing, repairing, rotating, and switching.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate service records and report defects to supervisors.
• Assist with general maintenance, clean‑up, and service calls.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years, no major violations in 5 years).
• At least 18 years of age.
• One year experience as a lube and tire tech (highly preferred).
• Basic understanding of diesel/heavy equipment and ability to use entry‑level mechanical tools.
• Pass a pre‑employment controlled substance test and have authorized mine site access.
