LPN/RN Student – Acute Care Nursing

About the role

Citizens Health seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse who is currently enrolled in RN coursework to provide nursing care in our acute‑care facility. The role can be full‑time, part‑time, or PRN, supporting a 24/7 staffed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and families.
• Perform assigned nursing functions, including medication administration.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and assist with patient/family teaching.
• Supervise Nursing Assistants and Ward Clerks, reporting to RNs.

Required profile

• Current LPN licensure in Kansas.
• Knowledge of nursing scope of practice and hospital policies.
• Ability to interact tactfully with ill patients and families.

Required skills

• Competence in standard nursing techniques and medication administration.
• Understanding of unit communication and documentation procedures.
