LPN Ambulatory Team Lead – Pediatrics

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to lead the ambulatory pediatric team at the Westlake Medical Office Building. This position works primarily on‑site, providing direct patient care, supervising staff, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and document objective and subjective patient data, reporting findings to the RN or authorized provider.
• Implement nursing care plans and medication orders under RN or provider direction, monitoring patient responses and adverse reactions.
• Provide education to patients and families, and participate in orientation of new employees.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, patient safety, and HIPAA requirements.
• Lead quality initiatives, process improvement, and staffing coordination across shifts and holidays.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program with current Ohio LPN license.
• Minimum 3 years recent clinical experience as an LPN.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the new‑hire period.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
