Louisiana Associate Attorney

About the role

Halliday, Watkins & Mann, P.C. is seeking a Louisiana‑licensed attorney to join its nationwide team. The associate will focus on representing secured and unsecured creditors in foreclosure, bankruptcy, and related real‑property matters.

Key responsibilities

• Represent lenders in foreclosure, eviction, bankruptcy, and general property law matters.
• Prepare and review pleadings, proofs of claim, motions for relief from stay, objections to confirmation, and dischargeability issues.
• Appear at court hearings, mediations, and trials on behalf of creditor clients.
• Analyze loan documents, collateral issues, and creditor rights.
• Monitor and apply changes in statutes, rules, and case law.
• Communicate effectively with clients, trustees, and opposing counsel.
• Provide strategic legal guidance and recommendations to creditor clients.

Required profile

• Active member of the Louisiana Bar and licensed to practice law in Louisiana.
• Ability to manage a high‑volume bankruptcy and/or foreclosure caseload.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Experience advising lender and creditor clients on real‑property matters.
