Long-term Quality Engineering Internship

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a multi‑semester intern to join its Quality Engineering team in Grand Prairie, TX. You will support studies of production and repair operations, analyze data, and help improve quality processes and workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Quality team with problem‑solving, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, innovation and Six Sigma projects (≈40%).
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement activities, updating visual‑management schemes and metrics (≈40%).
• Document 5S scores, housekeeping audits and FOD levels, supporting compliance with NAS 412 (≈20%).

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in aerospace, engineering or manufacturing.
• Located in the DFW metro area and able to work onsite for the duration of the internship.
• Strong organization, time‑management and written/ verbal communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with G Suite.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred).
• Familiarity with VBA (preferred).
