Logistics Specialist – Plant Operations

About the role

The Plant Logistics Specialist will manage and optimise the flow of materials, components and finished goods within a manufacturing plant. You will work closely with production, procurement and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate inventory control.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with plant teams to support assembly line set‑up, ensuring efficient layout design, process‑flow optimisation and standardisation of operations.
• Apply process‑mapping and PFEP (Plan for Every Part) knowledge to streamline material flow and boost operational efficiency.
• Analyse manpower planning and oversee equipment installation and commissioning activities in warehouse operations.
• Drive logistics optimisation through Kaizen, NVAA analysis and layout studies.
• Define and deploy complete logistics flows, including location strategy, JIT/JIS, kitting and Kanban.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, procurement and supply‑chain teams to resolve material‑handling issues.
• Participate in facility and resource planning, RFQ execution and CAPEX planning for new projects.
• Support implementation of new logistics processes and technologies to improve workflow efficiency.
• Maintain communication with Manufacturing Engineering, Design, Purchasing and Quality Assurance to discuss improvements and issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of project management, Lean and Kaizen methodologies is a plus.
