Logistics Manager

About the role

Blue Star Glass is looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to lead and optimise shipping, inventory and distribution operations at its Dallas, Texas facility. The role reports directly to the President and requires a focus on safety, accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Own all shipping, logistics and in‑house inventory management.
• Coordinate deliveries with customers and job sites.
• Manage national and international freight traffic and costs through third‑party brokers.
• Request, review and evaluate vendor quotes to achieve strategic savings.
• Maintain accurate tracking and schedules of freight and shipping.
• Oversee internal systems for shipping, loading and invoicing.
• Work with production to ensure material is on schedule for delivery dates.
• Perform other departmental duties as required by management.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in purchasing or logistics, preferably in manufacturing, construction materials, glass or industrial distribution.
• Proven leadership and ability to manage fast‑paced distribution operations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight time constraints.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English.
• High level of problem‑solving and decision‑making capability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
