Logistics Coordinator – Load Planner

About the role

McLane Global is looking for a detail‑oriented Logistics Coordinator who will focus on load planning and consolidation for a USDA food‑distribution program. Based in Henderson, CO, you will work in‑office with the Transportation Services team to ensure timely, cost‑effective deliveries to over 200 distribution points each month.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and organize orders and shipments to maximize routing efficiency, delivery schedules, and vehicle utilization.
• Collaborate with customers, warehouse teams, carriers, and suppliers to understand product availability, special handling needs, and delivery requirements.
• Monitor shipment schedules, meet all deadlines, and resolve any pickup or delivery issues.
• Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to track shipments, enter load data, and generate performance reports.
• Maintain accurate records of orders, load plans, transportation costs, and compliance documentation.
• Continuously evaluate load efficiency, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and implement process improvements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for account managers on transportation‑related inquiries, providing clear and timely information.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics coordination, load planning, and freight consolidation (FTL).
• Familiarity with USDA food‑distribution requirements is a plus.
