Logistics Analyst, Delivery

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Logistics Analyst for its Store Support Center. The analyst uses analytical methods and tools to understand, predict and control logistics operations, manages data, analyzes performance, identifies problems and recommends improvements. The role sits within the logistics organization and involves working with vendors and business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Create and analyze reports to support business execution (25%).
• Develop business tools and solutions and identify logistics process improvements (25%).
• Support vendor and business partner relationships (15%).
• Develop and maintain cost estimates, forecasts and cost models (15%).
• Perform data management through data mining, modeling, analysis and cost-benefit analysis, and handle ad-hoc queries and reports (10%).
• Complete tasks within expected timeframes and work with multiple projects and business functions.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Self-starter, detail-oriented, able to support multiple projects and work well with a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multiple levels of the logistics organization.
• Ability to manage vendor and business relationships.
• Typically requires overnight travel of less than 10% of the time; mostly sitting work with occasional lifting of light items.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite: Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word and Visio.
• Preferred: Mini-Tab, SQL, Visual Basic and data acquisition and analysis skills.
• Preferred: Six Sigma or other process improvement methodology.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Math or Finance.
