About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Contract‑Week (CW) Locum Hospitalist to provide inpatient care at the Benton‑Bryant Hospital. This temporary position supports the internal medicine service and contributes to high‑quality patient care in a collaborative academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive inpatient care to patients on the internal medicine service.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Document clinical encounters accurately and in a timely manner.
• Adhere to UAMS policies, including vaccination requirements and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) or equivalent qualification.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Compliance with UAMS COVID‑19 vaccination policy or an approved exemption.
