Local Trial Manager (Sponsor Dedicated)

About the role

IQVIA is hiring a Local Trial Manager (Sponsor Dedicated) in Durham. Associate Project Leads (Local Trial Managers) are an integral part of clinical trial delivery, liaising with clinical teams to bring new drugs to market faster. They are members of the core project team responsible for delivering clinical studies to meet contractual requirements, and may run their own studies.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to integrated study management plans with the core project team and/or sub-team.
• Own the assigned portion of each clinical study, optimising speed, quality and cost while ensuring compliance with standard processes and policies.
• Set objectives for project sub-teams, monitor progress against the contract and report proactively to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify risks and opportunities, partner with the project leader on problem solving, and plan corrective and preventative actions.
• Lead a project sub-team, manage cross-collaboration and issues, and forecast ways to accelerate activities and bring revenue forward.
• Manage change control, identify lessons learned and implement best practices.
• May act as primary or backup project contact with the customer, and may lead vendor management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field.
• 2 years of clinical research experience in project management or trial management.
• Knowledge of clinical trial conduct and applicable regulatory requirements such as ICH GCP and local laws and guidelines; broad protocol and therapeutic knowledge desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work across geographies and understand cultural differences.

Required skills

• Good software and computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of project financials.

The potential base pay range, annualized, is $68,400 to $232,800, depending on qualifications, location and schedule. Incentive plans, bonuses and other benefits may also apply.
