Loan Review Specialist

About the role

The Loan Review Specialist joins Zillow Home Loans' Post‑Closing team to ensure that closed mortgage loans meet investor and internal audit standards before delivery. Working remotely, you will manage a high‑volume pipeline, identify potential issues, and help maintain the speed and quality of loan purchases.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed reviews of closed loan files to verify compliance with investor and internal audit requirements.
• Confirm that all loan‑level tasks are completed in the loan system prior to shipment.
• Monitor loan delivery status, troubleshoot problems, and escalate errors or delays as needed.
• Maintain a pipeline of loans with competing deadlines while ensuring accuracy and timely turnaround.
• Enter and validate investor loan information and servicing details in the appropriate systems.
• Escalate systemic issues, complex scenarios, and recurring defects to leadership.
• Support quality‑assurance initiatives by identifying trends and providing feedback for process improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on new programs, documentation updates, and workflow testing.
• Assist with onboarding and peer training by sharing best practices.
