Litigation Counsel – Remote Contract (AI-focused)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Counsel to work remotely on AI‑driven document review projects. This contract position offers flexible hours (10‑40 hrs/week) and a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement legal rubrics for AI‑based document analysis.
• Conduct in‑depth legal research and draft memoranda to guide AI model training.
• Analyze large volumes of litigation documents to surface issues, trends, and data points.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate legal insights into actionable AI requirements.
• Oversee AI output quality, providing feedback to improve discovery and motion practice.
• Develop case strategies and motion templates that inform machine‑learning models.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree with active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, especially handling document‑intensive cases.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical abilities, with strong issue‑spotting skills.
• Proven expertise in case strategy development and motion practice.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication, meticulous attention to detail.
