Litigation Associate – Medical Malpractice/Long‑Term Care

About the role

The firm seeks a Litigation Associate with at least three years of experience to join its Medical Malpractice/Long‑Term Care team in Garden City, NY. The attorney will represent physicians, healthcare facilities, and long‑term care providers in all phases of malpractice litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior litigators to develop defense strategies for medical malpractice actions.
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Analyze medical records and conduct legal and medical research.
• Appear in court conferences, depositions, hearings, and client meetings across multiple counties.
• Interact with medical experts and clients throughout the litigation process.

Required profile

• Admission to practice law in New York.
• Strong legal research, writing, and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Confidence in client interaction and the capacity to work independently.
