Line Cook / Prep Cook

About the role

The Cloud One, part of the Motel One group, is looking for a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join its culinary team. The ideal candidate has experience in food preparation and a passion for creating delicious dishes. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food items according to recipes and quality standards
• Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Assist in menu planning and the preparation of various dishes
• Assist with inventory control, management and orders
• Make sure daily shift tasks are completed each day
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and keep the kitchen tidy at all times
• Follow food safety and sanitation regulations

Required profile

• Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment, or high-volume breakfast experience
• Current certification in food safety and handling
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen setting
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and organizational skills

Required skills

• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
• Experience with food handling, storage, preparation and inventory rotation
